SHARON DUPLEX
Sharon has worked on hundreds of television productions, both live
and pre-recorded that have been broadcast, locally, nationally and
internationally.
She started in television while still at high school after a work
experience stint with Channel 7 Perth’s children show Earlybirds.
During her years at Channel 7 Sharon worked on a variety of
programs including lifestyle, children’s shows, sport and
Telethon.
In 1991, Sharon left Channel 7 to Freelance.
During her Freelance career she’s been involved with many local
and international productions – including; 2000 Sydney Olympics,
South East Asian Games in Brunei Darussalam , AFL, Cricket,
Basketball, Soccer, Rugby, Gymnastics, It’s Academic and
Telethon.
Sharon’s association with Channel 7 and in particular Telethon has
continued. Each year she’s involved in the pre-production and
planning for the 25 hour LIVE marathon event as well as being the
Senior Director’s Assistant during the broadcast.
Sharon continues to work regularly in the broadcast industry for
all free to air TV networks in Australia (ABC, 7, 9, 10, SBS), and
Pay TV including Fox Sports.
Sharon brings to OutWest her extensive knowledge of Television
and Video production from concept to completion.

ALAN DUPLEX
Alan has edited thousands of Television Commercials, Programs and
Corporate Presentations, and has worked on a majority of televised
sporting events in Western Australia.
He is the most experienced EVS replay operator in Perth, and has
worked on all AFL matches in Perth since 1999.
Alan’s TV career commenced at Channel 7 Perth in 1979, as a trainee
technician. He quickly progressed through the ranks and after
becoming a fully qualified Technician transferred to the Videotape
Department working on the America’s Cup Defence in 1986/7 and a
World Yachting Documentary.
Alan left Channel 7 in 1988, to join the founding Channel 10 Perth
team - the newest network television station in WA.
After leaving Channel 10 in the early 90’s Alan joined the
freelance world, before returning to Channel 7 fulltime in 1993.
Alan was now a senior editor, and working in the main online suite,
edited hundreds of commercials and many hours of local and national
programmes.
In 1999, Alan left Channel 7 to set up OutWest Productions with
partner Sharon. He continues to work in television regularly on
events including – AFL Football, Hopman Cup Tennis, A-League
Soccer, Rugby and International Cricket.
Alan brings to OutWest, not only his vast editing, technical and
production knowledge, but the creativity to help you decide which
direction to take your project.
